Overview

Moi ("My Own Interactions") is developed by My Own Company Oy Ab (3434307-9), based in Turku, Finland. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Storage

Moi is an offline-first app. In the free tier, all data is stored exclusively on your device. No data is sent to any server.

When you purchase a paid tier with sync enabled, your data is stored in GDPR-compliant data centers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Union (Germany/Finland).

What We Collect

• Free tier: We collect anonymous crash reports and usage analytics via Sentry and Amplitude. No personal data is collected.
• Paid tier: Email address (from Apple/Google Sign-In), calendar data, and media files you choose to sync.
• Newsletter: If you sign up for our waiting list, we store your name and email address on our self-hosted newsletter system (EU-hosted).

Data Processors

We use a small number of third-party services to operate Moi. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf under Article 28 GDPR: they may process data only on our instructions, never for their own purposes, and are bound by a data processing agreement. We keep this list current as processors are added or removed.

• Hetzner Online GmbH — Servers, database and media storage. Finland (Helsinki).
• Mailgun Technologies — Sign-in links and transactional email. EU.
• Stripe — Payments and subscriptions. EU / USA.
• PostHog — Product analytics. EU (Frankfurt).
• Sentry — Crash and error reporting. EU (Frankfurt).
• Amplitude — Legacy analytics, being retired. USA.
• Crisp IM SAS — In-app support chat. France (infrastructure in NL/DE).
• Expo — App updates and push notification delivery. USA.
• Apple, Google — App distribution, in-app purchases and sign-in. EU / USA.
• Plausible Analytics — Website analytics, this site only. EU.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Your data is yours. We do rely on the processors listed above to operate the service; they act only on our instructions.

Analytics

This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. No consent is required.
